Leaders
The Leaders at Port Noarlunga Sea Scouts are dedicated to providing a safe learning environment for all members of the Group.
Young people need leadership. They need the guidance of informed and caring adults to develop self-reliance, initiative and responsibility.
Leaders care not only about the young people under their guidance, but also about the communities in which they live.
Apart from managing the youth programmes within the Port Noarlunga Group, leaders are also involved with district and branch activities.
Leaders are required to undertake a comprehensive training programme which includes how to run exciting and fun activities which encompass training in various activities such as bushcraft, hiking, sailing, rowing, etc. as well as how to encourage social interaction by the group members.
Leaders attend various training courses during the year to improve and gain extra skills.
